Maker Knife - How the locking mechanism works.

Long ago I promised a "how this works"

Here's how the makerknife locking system works.

Extended, you can see there's a stainless steel sear poking up from the bottom.  When you pull the ring, it pivots down, and releases that sear.

What holds the makerknife shut, is the pin sticking down from the top of the frame in back there.
